In an interview with Emarat Al Youm newspaper, Khalaf Ahmad Al Habtoor, Founding Chairman of Al Habtoor Group, shares his vision for the future of the UAE’s economy. During the interview, he reflected on his memories of the late Sheikh Rashid bin Saeed Al Maktoum and his significant role in the development of Dubai.
Al Habtoor also discussed his proposal to open family-owned businesses to Emirati entrepreneurs, allowing them to contribute to these companies rather than starting from scratch, emphasising the importance of supporting national talent in the private sector. Regarding investment projects, he announced that he is considering the IPO of the hospitality portfolio as a step to expand investment opportunities.
He further mentioned his suggestion to reduce school hours for children, aiming to enhance productivity and improve the quality of education. Additionally, he spoke about his recent visits to Syria and Lebanon, sharing his impressions of the situation there.
